About Us

The Lodge Ministries was founded by Ed & Deb Peets, and was born out of our calling and passion to welcome and care for people.  We have served in ministry together for over 30 years.  Both of us have worn  many different hats  including Bible teaching, preaching, camp facilities director, Christian school teachers, counseling, women's ministry, music, and youth ministry.   We understand the importance of rest and the burnout that happens when it's not a priority!  We also understand how easy it is to get lost in the busyness of life, work & ministry, and forget the priority of relationships.  We've observed how people can be in a room full of activity and people, and yet feel completely alone.  Over these many years, together we have become increasingly  drawn to the small, and God has given us a vision to care for people in this way.

We believe that while there is a time and place for large gatherings and events, the true knitting of hearts, and community happens in small, intimate settings.   It's in those spaces that people are free to rest, share, grow together, and form lasting  relationships.   Our prayer is that the Lodge will be such a space. 

 

Our goal is to provide a peaceful space for souls to find rest, healing, encouragement, and community.  Jesus says in Matthew 11:28, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."  True rest renews our mind, body, and soul, and allows us to start anew with even more focus and strength.  God is calling us to be still amidst the craziness of life, and to find refuge in His arms.   He is calling us to do life together, to lift each other up, and to sharpen and inspire each other to be better followers of Christ.  "May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ."  (Romans 15:5-6)

 

Here at the Lodge, whether it's through a small retreat, event, counsel, or just time alone with God, our desire is to provide a space for believers to pause, refresh, and find renewed purpose in their Christian walk.  We want every soul who walks through these doors to feel a sense of belonging and purpose.
